  2. Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with butter or non-stick spray.

Step 2: Prepare the Cheesecake Layer

  1. In a medium bowl, beat the cream cheese, sugar, egg, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy. Set aside.

Step 3: Make the Strawberry Filling

  1. In a medium saucepan, gently combine the sliced strawberries, sugar, cornstarch, and lemon juice.
  2. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the mixture thickens and becomes jam-like (about 5–7 minutes). Set aside to cool slightly.

  3. Spoon the strawberry filling on top, spreading it gently.

Step 6: Add the Topping

  1. Drizzle the melted butter evenly over the top of the cake.
  2. Sprinkle the sugar evenly over the butter for a crispy, sweet topping.

Step 7: Bake

  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 40–45 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the center is set.
  2. Allow the cake to cool for at least 15 minutes before serving.
