Yield
Serves 6–8

Ingredients

  • 2 (24 oz) jars marinara sauce (or your favorite pasta sauce)
  • 1 lb ground beef or Italian sausage (optional, for meat lovers)
  • 2 (20 oz) packages cheese ravioli
  • 3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Fresh basil or parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Step 1: Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.

Step 2: Cook the Meat (if using)
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef or Italian sausage until browned. Drain any excess fat. Stir in 1 jar of marinara sauce and mix well.

Step 3: Assemble the Ravioli Lasagna

  • Spread 1 cup of marinara sauce (without meat, if using) on the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
  • Place a layer of cheese ravioli over the sauce.
  • Spoon half of the meat sauce or plain marinara sauce over the ravioli.
  • Sprinkle 1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauce.
  • Repeat the layers (ravioli, sauce, mozzarella) until all ingredients are used, finishing with a layer of marinara sauce.
  • Sprinkle the top with Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and red pepper flakes (if using).

Step 4: Bake
Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 20-25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10–15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.

Step 5: Cool and Serve
Let the ravioli lasagna cool for 5–10 minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh basil or parsley for a pop of color.
