  • 4 large eggs
  • 4 slices whole wheat bread
  • 4 slices bacon
  • 1 large tomato, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon butter (for toast)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Fresh herbs (parsley or chives, for garnish – optional)

Instructions

Step 1: Boil the Eggs

  1. Place eggs in a saucepan and cover with cold water (about 1 inch above the eggs).
  2. Bring water to a boil over medium-high heat.
  3. Once boiling, reduce heat to medium and let eggs cook for 10-12 minutes for hard-boiled.
  4. Remove eggs and immediately place them in an ice bath for 5 minutes to stop cooking.
  5. Peel the eggs and slice them into rounds or halves.

Step 2: Cook the Bacon

  1. In a skillet over medium heat, cook bacon until crispy, flipping as needed (about 5-7 minutes).
  2. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Step 3: Prepare the Toast & Tomatoes

  1. Toast whole wheat bread to desired crispness. Spread with butter if desired.
  2. Slice the tomato into even rounds.

Step 4: Assemble & Serve

  1. Arrange sliced eggs, tomatoes, bacon, and toast on a plate.
  2. Sprinkle eggs and tomatoes with salt and black pepper.
  3. Garnish with fresh herbs if desired. Serve immediately!
